If the defender is equipped with Advanced Projectors, XI7 Turbolasers prevents the defender from suffering more than one damage on each hull zone other than the defending hull zone.
For example, if an attack deals four damage, a defender with Advanced Projectors must suffer at least one damage on the defending hull zone. Up to three total points of damage can be suffered on other hull zones, but each other hull zone can suffer only one damage.

When the Redirect defense token is resolved, any hull zones with shields, can be chosen to suffer damage.

If a ship attacking is equipped with XI7 Turbolasers, only ONE damage can be moved in total to any one hull zone.
Per the FAQ:
“Even if the defender is equipped with Advanced Projectors, XI7 Turbolasers prevents the defender from suffering more than one damage in total on hull zones other than the defending hull zone.”
