After a ship equipped with Unity deploys, you may gain 1 Redirect defense token, and when Unity is attacking a squadron, if that squadron is engaged with a friendly squadron that does not have the printed keyword Heavy, you may reroll 1 die.

If Unity deploys from being set aside due to some effect, it’s card effect will resolve, since it is “after you deploy”.
