Timing
This Squadron Card may resolve at the start of Squadron Phase.
Official rulings
If Mart Mattin belongs to the first player, the effect of Mart Mattin is resolved before Exogorths perform attacks.
If Mart Mattin belongs to the second player, that player can choose which effect is resolved first.

Community rulings
At the start of the Squadron Phase, you may choose to toggle Mart Mattins activation slider to the activated side (if the squadron has not already been activated). If you do, you may place 1 Proximity Mine token at distance 1.

Note per Rebellion in the Rim RRG “When proximity mine tokens are placed, they must be placed beyond distance 1 of any other proximity mine tokens.”
Mart Mattin does not alter this rule.

In regards to Exogorths, when resolving timing for “Start of the Squadron Phase”, 1st player resolves any squadron abilities in that timing window before Exogorths attack. Then 2nd player can choose to either resolve the squadron ability before or after Exogorth attacks.
