Setup: After placing obstacles, the players alternate placing a total of 5 objective tokens in the setup area, starting with the second player. Each token must be placed in the play area beyond distance 5 of both players’ edges and beyond distance 3 of all other objective tokens. Then each player chooses one of his ships to be an objective ship, starting with the first player.
Special Rule: When a player’s objective ship reveals a command dial, that player may choose 1 objective token at a distance of 1 of that ship and remove it from the play area to gain 1 victory token.
End of Game: If a player has more victory tokens than his opponent, increase his final score by 75.

The standard obstacles are used during setup, which are 3 asteroid fields, 2 debris fields, and 1 station. After obstacles are placed, a total of 5 objective tokens will then be placed in the setup area, starting with the second player and alternating between them. Meaning the first player will place a total of 2 objective tokens, and the second player will place 3. In the order of 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd.
These tokens are placed in the setup area beyond distance 5 of both players edges and beyond distance 3 of any other objective token. After the objective tokens are placed, the first player then chooses a ship to be the objective ship, followed by the second player.

The special rule:
When an objective ship reveals (not gains) a command dial, that ship’s owner may choose 1 objective token at distance 1 and remove it from the play area to gain 1 victory token. If a ship does NOT reveal a command, because it chooses to discard its command dial due to a card effect such as Crew Panic, or some other ability.
You cannot claim the objective token, as no command was revealed.
