The standard obstacles are used during setup, which are 3 asteroid fields, 2 debris fields, and 1 station. But the station is placed last in the setup area by the second player beyond distance 1 of all obstacles and beyond distance 5 of both players edges.

The special rule:
The station does not obstruct any attack or line of sight, and does not have its normal overlap effect of discarding damage cards or recovering hull points.
This means that squadrons overlapping the station can still engage enemy squadrons and card abilities that rely on engagement are in effect. (Such as Escort, “Mauler” Mithel, etc)

Note: The Station is still an obstacle, and still fulfills the requirements needed for cards such as Captain Brunson.

At End of Round:
Each player sums the command value of ships at distance 1 of the station. The player with the highest total gains 1 victory token worth 20 points.
Example,
Player A has 2 ships at distance 1 of the station.
Player B has 1 ship also at distance 1 of the same station,
Each Player A ship has a command value of 1, for a total of 2.
And Player B’s ship has a command value of 3, for a total of 3.
Player B’s ship would gain a victory token.
