Timing
This Upgrade Card has to be exhausted and may be resolved at any point during a friendly ships “activation” in the Ship Phase. The timing to resolve is “before” Reveal Command Dial until “end of activation” which is the timing window that takes place “after maneuver” timing.

At any point during a friendly ships activation and if that ship is at distance 1-5 of a ship equipped with Ahsoka Tano, including the ship that Ahsoka Tano is equipped too, you may exhaust Ahsoka Tano to discard 1 command token from the activated ship and gain 1 command token of your choice.

Note that a ships activation begins when it is chosen for activation before it reveals its command dial, and ends only after the player acknowledges the ships activation is over, typically after the end of a maneuver. This is an important distinction to make due to some interactions such as the following. A ship equipped with Boarding Troopers has a navigation token but no other tokens, and the player wishes to use the Boarding Troopers. Before that ships command dial is revealed, Ahsoka Tano could be exhausted and discard the navigation token and gain a squadron token. Then reveal the command dial to trigger the timing of Boarding Troopers.
